This is My Fight Song 🎧🎶🎵 3/29/2022

 There's a Mack Brock song, "Prophesy Your Promise," it's been a constant earworm lately and on all of my playlist.  

An earworm is a song that gets stuck in your head; so, today, I'm grateful it's Mack Brock and not Barney the Purple Dinosaur.  


This song speaks to every fiber of my being.

Need I say more?! Well, maybe, as this is a blog. 


He met me in the middle of my mess. He was always there! He DID NOT hesitate to call me back to Him. Seriously, How precious is Poppa?! ❤️🤗The lies, the chains, the walls...defeated in Jesus name. He is truth. That's heavy!!!  Times will still come when I don't see a way out but I will always trust His promise is yes and Amen( 2 cor 1:20) He completes what He starts(phillipians 1:6) I will declare He is God and He is Good. He sets a table in the middle of my war (psalm 23:5) not a dining table ready for breaking bread, a table full of weapons.  Come On!!!  There are going to be battles and Giants but trust He has equipped us for an Easy Victory. He is the Victory!!!! And if you aren't shouting the Bridge, "FEAR CAN GO TO HELL, SHAME CAN GO THERE TOO." "CAUSE I KNOW WHO'S AND WHO I AM DEVIL!!!!!"   Knowing who's you are to know who we are makes resting in the knowledge that no matter what: He is with me(deuteronomy 31:6) He is for Me(Romans 8:31) He loves(John 3:16) me no matter what I looked like, no matter the sinful shameful person I was....He chose me(Deuteronomy 14:2) and I trust Him to see me through (hebrews 13:5.) I am His beloved and He is mine(SOS 6:3.) He delights in me(Psalm 18) and sings over me joyfully(zeph 3:17.) To Him I am more precious than rubies (Proverbs 3:15.) I belong to Him( Genesis 1:26.) 


This is my fight song.

  Day 1333 was just like any other Saturday, starting with eskimo kisses from Murphy at 6am, needing to be let out. After my morning time of Jesus and coffee, I started in on the daily chores in hopes of catching up the blog and making a social media post about the prior week’s Resurrected jail chapel. To everything there is a season

 Today, marks an end of an era for me.  It’s not only that I turned 42, but also, today, I am no longer the basketball lady.     In late fall of 2019, 5 months into my recovery, I signed my girls up to play Enter His Courts basketball, a Basketball Ministry that had been serving our county for 31 years. Having my own personal love for the game and coaching experience (sending several teams to State In Special Olympics and one athlete to the World games) I, of course, checked the box to coach their teams.  A month and half had passed when the phone rang with Olivia’s coach on the other line. While I was excited she would be learning the game from someone with DII experience. Shame became the loudest voice in my head.  “Why would they choose you, an addict, to coach.kids in a Christian basketball league?” “You’re just a junkie headed for inevitable relapse.”  The voices only grew louder as depression set in. Trying to make sense is plain senseless

 In October of 2019, at 4 months sober, I found myself needing a job. While I had been hired as a TA at Clifty Creek Elementary, the take home pay wouldn’t have paid the bills. So here I was still living at my Great Aunts needing a job, but knowing I needed a safe bubble.  Drugs are rampant here in South Central Indiana as they are everywhere.  Seeking the Lord and Obeying His voice, Heaven Scent Cleaning was born. Immediately, it was a success and of course Jireh gets all of the Glory as the business was truly Heaven Sent. The CoVid shut down definitely slowed things down for a season, but business soon picked back up. So much so I was blessed to send overflow work to a couple of gals at church gifting them that Heaven sent start. Then suddenly in late fall of 2021 things headed south.  I lost several customers for various reasons. One Mom decided to go back to school putting her home to clean.
